How long does it take to build muscles.?!


Question: How long does it take to build muscles..?
Im 16 , i have a skinny body and i weigh about 57kg.My height is 5ft6inch.
when will i start gaining muscle mass and weight.I want big biceps.I do drink protein shake twice a day and i work out 4 days a week and i work on different body parts each day.

Answers:
It depends - you should be eating close to 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight each day. If you want bigger muscles you should be doing reps in the 5-7 range and focusing on compound movements (bench press, shoulder press, pullups, rows, squats, deadlifts). I was very skinny at your age and this worked for me. Doing pullups is the absolute best exercise you can do for your biceps - do lots of them and your arms will grow.

As long as you work out at least every other day you should see minor advancements over time. I'm not sure about protein but make sure you get plenty of sleep as it is responsible for muscle development/repair (don't push yourself hard enough to damage your tissue though, just take it steady based on what stanima you have)Health Question & Answer
