Question: I want to loose weight before my wedding in one year!!!!!.?
Hi Im really overweight I weigh about 250lb and I need to look the best I can for my wedding. Im going to breifly tell you how and what I eat...
1. I normally eat at night because of my working hours
2. I love soda and always drink one for dinner
3.Every time I get deppressed or stressed I always eat.
4. I basically can't stop eating.

1. Eat 3 meals/2 snacks a day. This is important to keep your blood sugar level constant throughout the day. Eating once a day is very conducive to pigging out.
2. Replace the soda with water. Lots of water, not juice.
3. When you get depressed or stressed out, exercise instead of eating. Exercise releases endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. (Happy people don't kill their husbands!) Haha.

The main suggestion I have for you is to break the habit of emotional/boredom eating. It could actually possibly be an addiction. Losing weight is mainly about diet so you really need to get that in check if you expect to make any progress. Find out WHY you're eating and find alternative ways to deal with whatever's causing your behavior. [It's probably recommended that you talk to a counselor about this, but with discipline you could do it yourself.]

As for the actually weight loss, change your eating habits ... eat throughout the day, not just at nights. Stop drinking soda and cut out a lot of the sugar in your diet. Don't diet. It never works. Practice portion control. Eat whole/natural/organic foods. Get enough meat, veggies, fruits, and fats (surprisingly!). Look into exercise, preferably something like yoga or tai chi which are meditative and may help you control your impulses to eat. also, add muscle (do strength-bearing exercises) which will increase your metabolism and help you lose fat.

How to start.?

Choose exercises you enjoy according to your fitness level. Aerobics exercises move the muscles fairly continuously and strengthen the heart and lungs. Examples of such activities are brisk walking, jogging, aerobic dancing, swimming, badminton, cycling and football.

If you have not exercised for a long time or just started, start slowly and increase gradually over a period of 3 to 6 weeks.

Frequency or How often.?

Exercise for at least 20 minutes, 3 times a week or more

Intensity and duration.?

Do exercise until you perspire and breathe deeply without getting breathless. You should be able to talk or whistle while exercising.
