Has anyone had any success with over-the-counter weight loss meds ?!

Question: Has anyone had any success with over-the-counter weight loss meds .?
I know my contacts are going to tell me to get my little hiney out there and excersize but it aint always that easy.
I gained about 25 to 30 lbs when I quit smoking and I'm have a heck of a time getting rid of it even with changing my eating habbits.
I have spent over 100.00 bucks on diet stuff that just doesnt work.
SO, what has worked for you .?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
F*ck NO! Dont do that to yourself!!!! Please!

You are sooo right-it IS so hard to just get out there and do it.
But, for a guy, 25-30lbs should not be that hard to get off.
Infact, most of it is probably water weight.
What you are saying reminds me of how my 22 year old brother used to be.
He would spend his feckin' hard earned money on that crap-and never see any weigh loss results, only heart problems. But, he recently just lost 50lbs. (He is 6'3, and 240 now).

This is what he did:

Kashi Cereal w/ skim milk in the morning with a banana

Lunch, he would prepare the night before and make ground turkey (drained of any fat), add some cumin, cayenne, a little salt and pepper, and other seasonings served in a soft, whole wheat wrap. and a side salad with any kind of dressing (If you dont have any, I would suggest you get tupperware)

Snacks, would be yogurt with fruit/vegtables

Dinner was ususally alot like lunch, so basically 1/2 of the meals is vegtables, the other 1/4 is protein and the ohter 1/4 is carbs.

Drinks water like a fish.

Definatly allow yourself a night off once or twice a week, like friday nights with your friends or family or something.

also, and exercise.

You'll do GREAT!!!!Health Question & Answer

You dont need a diet, you dont need pills. Give up some of the high calorie foods your eating. 1 can of soda a day, can put 15 pounds on you in a year. So check out what your eating and substitute the high calorie drinks and food with low fat, low calorie food. 1 pound=3500 calories. Keep track of what you eat in a day. Figure out the calories, then reduce your calories for a week by 3500. You will lose 1 pound a week. If you reduce in more than 3500, you will lose more.Health Question & Answer

I took stacker's with ephedra before.. (Im pretty sure ephedra is legal again lol) Anyway I lost a lot of weight with them. My junior year of high school I was bigger and when I came back my senior year all I heard was how good I looked and how much weight I lost. (One guy went as far to say I looked like a cow the year before) Anyway.. there are drawbacks with all weight loss pills.. The stacker's were great.. I took 1 in the morning (eventually I started taking 2) and it gave me energy and I didn't have an appetite for most of the day.. Yes I know its not the healthiest way to lose weight.. and you should be eating more then 1 or 2 meals a day but sometimes you get desperate. I would love to start taking them again but I have a thyroid problem and don't want to risk mixing medicines. Whatever you decide good luck.. You know whats best for you.

*Oh and just so you know, the only reason I stopped taking them was because I got pregnant.. thats also how I gained my weight backHealth Question & Answer
