Extreme diet change and regular exercise. I enjoy telling this story. Last year at new years, I resolved to get down from 215 to 185. Techically 170 is my ideal BMI weight but I'm more muscular than average. I cut out soda for fruit juices and sobe water. minimized the chocolates and pastries. Ate my daily serving of veggies every day. and did cardio, lots of cardio. 40 minutes on the elliptical 3-5 times a week to start, and as the weight peeled off, i started to incorporate running in and now i don't use the elliptcial anymore. I'm still at 189 but I surged up during the holidays so I don't think its too bad. I fully expect to be at my goal weight by the end of March and looking great in time for swim suit season this year.Health Question & Answer

knowing that everyones body is different , I was looking for a way to keep track of my calories and then keep track of what I burned off. It takes too much time so i found this little independent company that is made up of groups of people that were once overweight. i found out thatthey have this meal calulation software that breaks down your specific body chemistry and then you select all the foods that you enjoy eating and it makes you your meals int he proper portions and then it calculations how long it will take to burn that meal off by choosing freom like hundreds of different activities. that is how i lost my weight. pretty simple, the software saved me a ton of time but that is how you lose weight. i put the link below under source in case you want to take a look. they are not flashy by any means but they surely do educate you on how to read YOUR body. Hope this helps.Health Question & Answer

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).Health Question & Answer
