Question: [pics] How to GAIN weight.?
I posted a question earlier about my outfit, and people were saying I'm WAY too skinny. Now I want to gain weight. Like, not yucky fat, just normal fat in the bust/butt/thigh area. Right now, I'm eating rice everyday with fish, pork, vegetables. Nothing helps! I even stopped exercising (regular walks around the park)

Height: 5'3 1/5
Measurements: 34A-23-29
Weight: 97

Well you're on the right path by eating wholesome foods. Try eating 4-6 smaller meals throughout the day so that you receive enough nutrients. Here is a sample:

Meal 1:

1 bowl of oatmeal with honey
1 boiled egg
2 glasses of water

Meal 2:

Whole Wheat Sandwich with beef
1 cup of Salad
1 glass of water

Meal 3:

Brown rice with chicken breast and salad
2 glasses of water

Meal 4:

1 piece of salmon
1 cup leafy green stir fry
2 glasses of water

Meal 5:

Cup and a half of cottage cheese mixed with tuna and salad

As for exercise I suggest that you focus on resistance exercises. Start off 3 times a week (whole body routine) then after a couple of months later, 4 times per week split training (upper body - monday, thursday lower body - tuesday, friday) for no more than 45 min. per session.

If you plan not to use weights use your body weight. Exercises include pushups, elevated pushups, dips, pullups, chinups, squats, single-legged squats, lunges. Do 4 sets of 12 reps for each exercise then once they become too easy use an external weight such as a bag filled with books that you can carry on your back.

also get plenty of rest. Optimally 8 hours.

A girl who wants to gain healthy weight has to start having more protein-rich foods. Along with that, you should do some decent exercise, some cardio and lifting weights as well. Never stop exercising. That won't help anything. But try eating more in one meal don't space it out. And maybe consider buying protein mix.? I think it could help you gain a little.
