Whats the deal with my weight...?!

Question: Whats the deal with my weight....?
Yesterday at the gym I weighed in at like 224lbs.
I ate roughly 1200-1300 calories and burned maybe 400. I worked out harder yesterday than i normally do
anyway

I went back to the gym today.
I weighed in at 228.....whats the deal.
I haven't eaten bad or anything really unhealthy.

Could I be retaining fluid. or could it be from not having a good "Bowel Movement"...Could it also be from working out harder than normal and my muscles doing something.?.?

I drink alot of water, I was told that maybe it.

What do you guys think...suggestions.?

Generally, that kind of overnight weight gain is one of two things: water or fecal matter. And 99% of the time, it's water. You don't just spike up 4 pounds of fat overnight. It doesn't happen. Just like losing weight, gaining it takes time.

If it's water, well, it will pass. And if it's fecal matter, then, uh, this too shall pass. Maybe, as well, you need to space your harder workouts out a little bit more, and not do them everyday. People can actually weigh more after a workout than before. Not always, but it happens.

Try weighing yourself every day under as close to the same circumstances as possible. This means, for most people, that the weigh themselves naked first thing in the morning after they pee. You tend to get more consistent results that way.

also, if you're using the gym's equipment, is it possible that their scale needs to be calibrated.? Since a lot of people are jumping on that scale every day, and it's only a machine, it's taking a beating. Do you have, or can you acquire, your own scale for use at home.?

So, nothing to worry about.Health Question & Answer

It could be any of those things, also think about the weight of the food you ate, a 12 oz steak, adds 12 oz to you if you don't have a BM.

also if you are sore from working out, your muscles may be swollen, which means fluid.Health Question & Answer

Thats normal, your weight just fluctuates naturally as your body goes through it's cycles. You should only weigh once a week.Health Question & Answer

well i hope your smart enough to know that muscle weighs more then fat. maybe your just getting stronger. also, were you wearing something different, maybe that could have weighed more.?Health Question & Answer
