Why am I very self-conscious about my weight?!

Question: Why am I very self-conscious about my weight.?
I very self-conscious about my apperence and how people look at me, I am skinny, I am 5'11 and 145-150lbs. It is impossiable for me to gain weight, First of all I have Crohns Disease, and second I have a high-metabolism. I can eat about 5000 calories of junk food and not gain a single pound. The only way I gained weight in the past was when my doctor gave me some sort of steroid pill when my disease just appeared, and a gained a ton, but now I cant. I can stand how skinny I am and worry about what people think. Is there anyway to get over this.? I would give anything to gain weight, but I cant.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Everyone is self conscious these days with the body perfects on TV and in magazines. Everything tells us we should all look like this when in fact even those people don't normally look that good. Be happy with who you are and know everyone is different. You say your skinny but doing a body mass index on you says your normal, go figure. Here's the website: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ One day you will gain weight and think jeez I wish I didn't gain weight like I used to so I could eat whatever. Trust me one day this may happen. My brother was always skinny, he was called bean pole more than once, the 95 pound running back. Now he is pushing 250 pounds and has to watch what he eats. Be healthy, be happy and don't worry about weight, you are as you should be. Good luck.Health Question & Answer
