How does one start working out?!

Question: How does one start working out.?
I can never stay focused with working out. I don't like staying focused on one project too long or I become bored with it.

I want a plan to get results but I don't quite want to pay for professional help just yet.

Has anyone been in the same boat and figured out a plan that helped them loose weight and stay in shape.? I work in a sitting position 8-9 hours a day. I do have a dog but running everyday after work is tedious. My German Shepherd does get it's exercise because I do have someone take care of it while I am away.Health Question & Answer

Take a class at the local gym. It's much better if you're with people who work out. They motivate you and you become committed to the class.Health Question & Answer

I agree, running is tedious. I used a program called Turbulence Training, http://turbulencetraining.com to help me. It uses various bodyweight exercises as well as exercises you can do at the gym with interval training. There are different routines; beginner, intermediate and advanced and you can email Craig directly and he can give you a rough idea on where you should start. Good luck.Health Question & Answer

I would suggest giving running another chance. You can switch up your running workout by running in different locations every day and by listening to your ipod. Your dog will like it too! I'm sure he would rather hang out with you than someone else. ;-) Something else that helps me stay motivated is to occasionally get new workout equipment for myself. If I get a new pair of running shoes or new running shorts, I feel more excited about testing them out. Hope this helps. Happy training! ;-)Health Question & Answer

Exercise is just as vital as food intake when it comes to losing weight, but the sole thing which really showed results for me is green tea, it can be viewed in the resource box below, they have a few free trials left, it has been featured in Fox News and USA Today. I lost 25 pounds, it really does work!Health Question & Answer
