Antidepressants don't work right away. It usually takes several weeks for the medicine to take effect and balance the chemicals in your brain. Just be patient, I know it can be difficult.
What you felt the first day or so was probably a Placebo effect, meaning you believed you were getting better, and therefore you felt better.
You just have to wait it out and see within the next month or so if you feel better. Just be careful, if the medicine starts making you feel REALLY bad, like suicidal, go to your doctor right away. In that case the medicine may not be working as it should.Health Question & Answer
