I would like someone in the medical profession to answer this or someone who has knowledge on this matter.?!

Question: I would like someone in the medical profession to answer this or someone who has knowledge on this matter..?
This is my problem: I hit my head the day before New Years Eve, I had a statue to fall off of my mantle. It hit me square in the forehead.I had a dented in place in my forehead and a knot on each side of the dent. One knot went away. The other knot goes down. It is like a ridge from my hairline to my eyebrow on one side. It will go down some during the day. I never had a headache from the injury, no dizziness, blurred vision, no problems remembering. My head was just sore for a few days. Have I cracked my skull or fractured it.? Will the knots go away on their own if I take extra caution not to bump my head.? What would a doctor do to treat it if I went.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
sounds like you gave yourself a hefty blow, and yes it could be fractured,a hairline possible or more..yes definitely go to the doctor or somewhere where you can get -x-rays .when you feel the ridge does it run along the actual skull bone.? the doctor will exam you,ask for more details than you can give here.it will take time to heal and i am not sure what the doctor will recommend,it depends on the findings.many fractures have to heal on their own so be careful not to re injure your head in the meantime.it's always recommended to have a head injury checked by the Doctor.you will have peace of mind knowing exactly what's wrongHealth Question & Answer

You need an X Ray. It is hard to say what the Dr will do, it depends on what s/he finds after looking at the X Ray. It has not gone away yet although the other one did so it is unlikely this will go away on its own. The best thing you can do is see a Dr. I won't try to guess what is wrong, it may be more serious since it is still there and the other one isn't so make an appointment with your Dr just to be on the safe side.Health Question & Answer

It is possible you have a minor depressed skull fracture even though you havn't had any side effects. If it is still like that ina few days go and see a doctor and get an xrayHealth Question & Answer

You need an X-ray. It sounds like you could have some fluid build up if it's going up and down.Health Question & Answer
