It varies a lot...in my area, a typical 1 hour no frills Swedish massage costs between $40- $85, depending on the spa or private therapist. If it's your mom's first massage, I'd recommend a nice day spa setting because that will probably make her more comfortable. You will just really have to call around and check prices, but make sure the therapists are licensed in accordance with state laws. You can ask that when you call to book. You can look at my website if you like...since I doubt you're in my area, I am not trying to "gain a customer". I have information about the two spas I work out of and that may help you to determine a quality place in your area. The last massage I got was about five years ago, and my insurance covered it; I think it was about $75 for an hour of massage therapy. About 15 years ago I paid, myself, for a full-body massage that lasted an hour. I think that was about $50.
There's just nothing quite like it for rejuvenation. Why don't you get one for yourself, while you're at it.? Then you'll know for sure what the current cost is.
