I, personally, am a huge fan of inversion. I certainly think it might help you, because I know it helps me. You should invest in an inversion table (not the boots) because you can adjust the declension and comfortably work up to the position that helps you the most.

Inversion basically works in the same manner as traction. You will feel your vertebrae popping back into place, and the relief is immediate and gratifying. I was able to quit going to my chiropractor when I started inversion therapy. I had pain right in the center of my back, like you (mine was T-9) After a month or so, no more back pain. Period.

I would clear it with your doc first, just to make sure the vertebra won't damage your spinal cord when they realign themselves. also, it is not for you if you have blood pressure problems, eye problems, or have had a stroke or other brain injury.

Overall, it is a great, natural way to get rid of pain. not only does my back not hurt, I can breathe better and have more energy. It does take some getting used to, but soon you'll easily be able to invert for 30 minutes at a time. Good luck.Health Question & Answer

It might be wise to have a thorough evaluation of your spine by your family Chiropractor. She/he can determine if there are underlying biomechanical problems that are causing or aggravating the disc bulge. Obviously, treating the cause of this problem would be the best approach to improving your spinal health.

Best wishes and good luck.Health Question & Answer

It's funny you should ask. It might just be that all the muscles of your core (hips, thighs, buttocks, lower back and abs and entire back for that matter) have all tightened up and in deep spasm. When they are tight they contort and this is what pulls your lower back and pelvis out of alignment and this is what causes your discomfort and sciatica. the best thing for this is inversion therapy. When inverting all of these muscles are free to stretch out and relax. As they do the knots come out of those muscles and as they are free and lose they will release their grips on your lower back, hips and pelvis and allow them to go back into alignment naturally. Once they are realigned nothing will be irritating your sciatic nerve and your pain will go away. You just have tight muscles that need to be stretched out. Stress causes this too by the way. I had back surgery. I wish I'd have known, that somebody would have told me about inversion therapy when my disc was just a bulge and hadn't herniated yet. Anyhow, I hope you feel better and hope this helps you. You can also GOOGLE: inversion therapy online health mart :for more info. take care, feel better!!!Health Question & Answer
