I would say you made a good prediction. Definitely a pulled muscle. Ice is normally what to use during the first twenty four hours, after that heat will do good. You need to use some moist heat to help that. Take a towel, soak it with hot water, ring it out then place it over your chest area on that left side. It would be better if someone helped you because you have to do this several times. Have a second towel handy to quickly replace the first one when it begins to cool. Do this until the skin begins to turn slightly red, not burned, just slightly red. Stop, massage the area gently, and while doing this massage, apply some Aspercreme. Do this procedure at least twice a day. You could also take an Ibuprofen, about 600 Mg's for any swelling and to help the pain. You will be amazed how well the moist heat helps. Just keep doing that moist heat procedure until there is no more pain. Probably two days. Wishing you the very best young lady and good luck. also don't over use those arms and rest as much as possible.Health Question & Answer

I had .a problem that sounds similar. I did a lot of moving things around on shelves in my home and business. I put ice on the area that hurt. This helps to cut down on inflammation. I also took ibuprofen for pain. Tried to use these muscles as little as possible until the paid subsided.Health Question & Answer

It is possible, but I would go to your doctor.Health Question & Answer
