The only thing is you don't want to become to dependant on them so don't make this a nightly habit.

Basically you are using alcohol to solve your sleep problems and nothing has ever been solved by using alcohol.
It is only a temporary fix and can be habit forming.
What you might try to do is discipline yourself rather than medicate yourself.
As time goes by you will only get worse, never better until you learn to face life on life's terms.
Cut out the meds, and start a regular bedtime regimen and only stay up late on weekends like the rest of us.Health Question & Answer

Its bad because they contain other medication in them that can really kill your liver and kidneys...Try an over the counter sleep med instead. One I found recently is Alteril...it contains 32 separate sleep aids so it even helped me a few times. Try it instead. Valerian root and melatonin may also work give it a shot but if you are gonna use stuff stay away form the stuff for colds and pain cuz it will have acetaminophen or ibuprofen and those could really hurt you. Good NightHealth Question & Answer

yes! if you have been using it for 2 months. you may have a sleeping disorder or it could just be the caffeine you been drinking. i would try to stay away from the sleeping meds and cut it on the caffeine. even if you drink caffeine up until three p.m. it could still be reason why you have not been able to sleep on your own. if this does not help you should see a doctor because the meds that you are taking can be addictive.
hope this helps!Health Question & Answer

Yes! Self medicating like that is not the answer! Better options are far more involved, including possibly changing your diet, and physical activity level. Sounds like you need to balance your lifestyle accordingly because this temporary fix of downing with flu meds and upping with caffeine is quickly going to catch up with you and cause you to crash drastically. please look into other methods including talking to a doctor about prescribing a medication that can help with this problem.Health Question & Answer

Try to use other methods as this is still a drug and it works well for the symptoms it is created for not for a sleeping agent and not for long-time use. Take a warm bath, try to go to sleep at the same time, make sure the room is noise proof, read a book and falls asleep naturally and safely. Good luck!Health Question & Answer

It can be over a long period of time. Your body can become dependant on then and then you won't be able to sleep without taking them.Health Question & Answer
