My mother in law is having an endoscopy tomorrow. Can she take her daily medications.? She takes the following:
1) Vitamin D
2) Calcium pill
3) Pantalog (anti-acid pill)
4) Evista - Osteoperosis pill
Apparently, calling a doctor tonight isn't an option. She needs to know if she should take them before her endoscopy, which is scheduled for 7:30 AM tomorrow morning.Health Question & Answer

yes, this is possible. for almost ALL tests, meaning procedures like endoscopy, the rule is: NO food or drink after midnight (and none in the morning either) until the test is performed. She can take her morning meds if she has any tomorrow morning too with small sips of water, but should not eat a Denny's Grand Slam breakfast or anything like that. i think that you catch my drift. good luck.Health Question & Answer
