Question: A bump that turned into a bruise.?
I had this bump on the back of my leg. And a few days later it turned into a HUGE bruise. It don't even hurt. At first I thought the bump was either a lymphoid or a vein popping out ( I am pretty skinny..). But then it turned into a bruise.? What could it be.?Health Question & Answer

It sounds like just a normal bruise. You must've banged your leg on something, perhaps while sleeping, and you got a lump from that (think what happens when you bang your head-- you get a lump). A month or two ago I banged my shin very hard on a table. I got a lump. It was normal skin color, but very sore. After a day or two, the lump went down a little and it and the surrounding area turned the brown-blue of a bruise, and then it went through the normal stages of healing bruises and the lump vanished along with it.
Why it happens like that, lump and then bruise, rather than simultaneously, I don't know. But I wouldn't be concerned about it.Health Question & Answer

Whatever the lump was involved bleeding into the surrounding tissues. It may have started out as a hematoma, which is a collection of blood that forms a pocket in tissue, and then it spread out into the tissue and formed a bruise over a larger area.Health Question & Answer

A bruise silly...it's normal to have a bruise if you were hit too hard...try putting hot packs.Health Question & Answer
