Severe menstrual cramps make me want to die...?!

Question: Severe menstrual cramps make me want to die....?
I started this morning. I've got severe abdominal/pelvic/back pain, thigh and leg pain, I threw up, had diarrhea, nausea, lightheadedness, irritability....I literally cannot do anything. I just lie here all day. I have no energy, the pain is so severe I can't function. I have been taking Pamprin all day, using heating pads, using muscle cream. I can't go to work or school. Why is my pain SO severe and what can I do about it.?.?

Flow is very heavy and another symptom I have is uncontrollable sweating and shakingHealth Question & Answer

Awww I'm sorry =( That really sucks
You may wanna try birth control, that lightens it or stops it (But it can make some people feel sick) So that's one option. I highly recommend it. I'm not kidding, my mom bleeds A LOT and she uses birth control to lighten/stop the bleeding. But if you feel sick, don't continue the use. See your doctor =)

Or advil extra strength. That works well too for the pain.

If you get these troubles every time you have your period then you should really consider seeing a doctor. I know it sucks but they can definitely sort it out ^_^ Sweating and shaking shouldn't be happening when you get your period. So something isn't exactly right. Could be stress.? Mine are irregular because I am stressed out.Health Question & Answer

You should see a doctor right away and make sure you don't have an underlying problem like ovarian cysts.

Otherwise, dysmenorrhea (painful menstrual cramps that interfere with your daily activities) is common and occurs for about 10% of women. Sometimes a very effective treatment is to get a prescription for a birth control pill such as ortho tricyclen. For some women (including my mother and myself), it SIGNIFICANTLY reduces the pain and menstrual flow to a point where you can go about your normal daily activities. I strongly recommend seeing your doctor about this ASAP.Health Question & Answer

You should go to your doctor and ask what you can do about it.
Birth control pills may also work. Birth control pills not only are for preventing a pregnancy but they can also help with serious pain during that time of your month and also is used for irregular periods.
Using something like Aleve will help to, but nothing is wrong with you, so don't freak out, just ask you're doctor about certain medication that can help and you'll be fine.Health Question & Answer
