Confused about temperatures.....?!
Question: Confused about temperatures......?
Ok so this question is for a adult temperature.
I have heard for a Rectal thermometer reading you take away a degree.? So a temperature of 37.3 would be, 36.3 degrees....
And, I have heard that for an Underarm thermometer reading, you add a degree.? So a temperature of 36.5 would be, 37.5 degrees....
Is any of these true about adding/subtracting degrees.?.? And or any of these temperatures I just mentioned, a high temperature.?
Many thanks :)

I have never heard that I ever before. Why would you add or subtract a degree. It doesn't make sense and is just idiocy. A high temperature is anything over 37.0. This is what is meant to be core body temperature but bodies usually are 36..? not 37Health Question & Answer
