Question: I pulled a muscle in my but after squatting and now it hurts to squat and run what should i do about it.?
Well i play football and we work out in the off season and about two weeks ago i was squatting and i started feeling pain and its been two weeks and it still hurts i thought it would just go away so i didn't worry about it and now when i run or try to workout i still feel the pain i can feel like deep in butt and it makes me run slow because i fell the pain i have tried stretching it our and that didn't work so what should i do.?.?.? I would suggest Icy Hot patches, continue stretching twice a day, and ibuprofen (Advil) NOT Tylenol. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory pain-killer and will make more of a difference than Tylenol. Icy Hot patches at night while you sleep help a lot b/c your muscles are already more relaxed at night. also, a heating pad will help immensely. If it keeps hurting after I would say two more weeks, then go see a doctor.Health Question & Answer

I completely agree with Joshua. You should NOT be running and absolutely not stretching if you have a pulled or torn muscle. You need to take a week or two off, alternate heat and cold and take it easy and give your body time to heal. Been there, done that (and as my granddaughter says, don't wanna go back).
