Sinus infection and pink eye?!

Question: Sinus infection and pink eye.?
I went to the doc Friday, and was given Cephalexin for a sinus infection (I waited 2 wks before starting them, and tried mucinex and Veramist).. I originally had burning in my nose, and pain up towards my eye, which decreased with the antibiotics/nasal spray.. Now, I've been on antibiotics for over 4 days, but my eye (from the bridge of my nose to right below my eye) is hurting again, and my eye is watering.. Can I be developing pink eye.?Health Question & Answer

I don't know.. In my experience, pink eye usually sets in really fast, it doesn't come gradually and that sounds like what your describing.. Is your eye pink and oozy at all.? Or is it just sore.. You sinuses can mess up almost everything in your face.. It's possible that you don't have it under controll.. I'd check with my doctor to make sure it's not something other than a sinus infection messing with your eyeHealth Question & Answer

It is possible you are getting pink eye BUT you should call your doctor to see what is going on for sure.. Personally I would quit using that nose spray because it sounds like you are having an allergic reaction.. If you do get pink eye a doctor told me once to use REGULAR neosporin on it.. Just rub some along the inside of your eye by your lash line before you go to bed and when you wake up the infection should be cleared up a lot possible gone totally.. It's TRUE I have done it many times..Health Question & Answer

I doubt it.. We've been suffering the same thing.. Typically it's just eye drainage.. Just keep it clean and continue your anti biotic.. If it doesn't clear in a couple days call your doc..Health Question & Answer
