How long for contusion of tibia to heal?!
Question: How long for contusion of tibia to heal.?
I was pitching 12" softball and hit with line drive straight to my shin bone.. This was 9 days ago and the redness (not the bruising) around where the ball hit is not going away.. The most pain is in my ankle, oddly, and the swelling goes to there too.. The area of impact is still swollen and very red..
I had xrays that showed nothing (common).. The chiropractor also did the tuning fork technique on the bone to see if there is a fracture.. Again, nothing.. He felt that my leg should not be this red though.. Has anyone else had a similar impact that stayed red and swollen past 9 days.? How long.?

When I was younger I got kicked in the shin with a roller skate and it stayed swollen for a solid 2 weeks.. The problem with legs and swelling, is that the reduction in swelling is very difficult since it is an area far away from the heart as well as at a lower level than it..
