As long as your refrigerator remained shut the food inside should still be quite safe.. Refrigerators don't run all the time anyway, and they are designed to retain the cool inside.. While the food will have a shorter shelf life if the temperatures went up a bit, it should still be safe enough for you to eat.. Use some common sense, though.. If there was leftover potato salad in there, that probably should go.. The various condiments would be fine, and the worst that will happen to the veg and fruit is that it will spoil a little sooner than you would have hoped.. Things like pickles are fine- the vinegar will protect them.. Just plan on eating the fresh foods in the next few days and keep an eye on the milk..Health Question & Answer
