Bruised arm. why is it more painful when lying in bed than when sat up and using it?!
Question: Bruised arm.. why is it more painful when lying in bed than when sat up and using it.?
I hit my upper arm hard on Saturday (on a metal pole) and it is still hurting today.. I think perhaps I've bruised the bone..
But the pain is much worse when lying down trying to get some sleep..
Yet if I move it a little such as to type this question it is not so bad.. Why is this.?
I am taking paracetamol tablets and ibuprofen gel on the skin.. Is there anything stronger..

Maybe it's because when you are sitting up, less blood is getting to it.. also because when you're trying to sleep, there's really nothing else to distract you from it.. Try sleeping with it in an upright position or use an ice pack..Health Question & Answer
Cause when your relaxed the muscles and skin all move and rest on it more and when your standing it's pulled tight and nothings resting on it..Health Question & Answer
