It may just be a combination of poor circulation/ not enough sleep and dehydration.. Most people don't drink enough water or get enough sleep.. I have computer job and I sit on a train 2 hours a day and I've noticed that my legs and feet became incredible increasingly uncomfortable.. My husband who has been studying nutrition told me to sleep more and drink more water.. Since then my legs have hardly been bothering me.. Exercising a few times a week will help too..Health Question & Answer

You should have a read up on "pilonidal sinus.." Female women tend to have a higher incidence rate then males.. As well, friction and pressure (caused by constant sitting) could contribute to this complication.. Unless you physically injured yourself in that area, I do not see another reason for the severity of pain you are experiencing.. Another possibility is if you are having pain around the anal region, you could have hemorrhoids..

I do not want to create alarm or cause paranoia, but if pain persist and the site just above you coccyx continues to hurt, please refer yourself to your GP or family physician for a proper and formal diagnosis.. If a pilondial sinus is present, you can generally feel a hard ball or lump (generally very painful) in the crease of your "bum" around the coccyx.. In early cases, pilonidal sinuses can be drained or temporarily treated with antibiotics; although this will never make them go away.. In more serious cases, surgical removal of the sinus (and abscess) and surrounding tissue will be necessary; healing can take up to 10 weeks..
