Splinter stuck in foot?!
Question: Splinter stuck in foot.?
I have a fair sized splinter stuck in my foot - I don't have any access to a needle, and there is hardly anything to grab on to and pull it out.. I want to try glue, but I'm not sure it'll work..

Do you have a pair of tweezers.? Those work well.. If most of the splinter is under your skin, soak your foot in warm water for 5-10 minutes.. It will soften the skin around the splinter and it will probably start to work its way out of your foot, so there will be more for you to get a grip on with the tweezers..Health Question & Answer
a few years ago i got splinter stuck in my thumb........ i went to the doctor...... and they couldnt find it......anyway my thumb healed with a callous but still hurt terribly......and when i would pick the callous off.... there was this tiny hole under it that would never close......then the callous would eventually grow back again.. anyway i was referred to a hand surgeon.. He decided to cut the callous out.. He didnt plan on finding anything.... but once he cut it open we found a huge splinter that was stuck in sideways.. so it would have been impossible to get out on my own because of the angle of it and how deep it was..
i can even remember a time i got a huge piece of glass stuck in the top of my foot after a huge glass dish fell on it...... anyway.... i didnt even know it was in there until it weasled its way out at least year later while i was in the tub.. Go figure..Health Question & Answer
