Try asking the doctor what all your options might be.. Maybe he can do a localized shot where you'll still be aware and awake.. Ask him how long it takes to do.. The more you know about what you can or can't do, the less fear you might have about it.. I had to get my toe popped back into place and asked the doctor to do it without anything! He was a little in awe but did it.. You have the ultimate decision with what you want to do so don't worry!!!! : )Health Question & Answer

Darling, your focus here is not upon method.. It is totally upon outcome.. You want that foot to heal properly.. Why.? Because it means your quality of life which you do not have now..

Not to dwell on the bad parts, but just to stay totally focused on outcome.. Think of the benefit of having a foot which has healed properly.. Once this is done, the anticipation will be behind you and the pain of healing is never as draining as the pain of anticipation.. One is psychological and uncertain while the other one is practical, literal and down to earth: healing is something you can actually watch happening - and something you can measure from day to day as you get well again.. That is where to put your faith..

Go for it, trust your doctor, get your foot fixed correctly and celebrate your wellness..Health Question & Answer

Ok that's sound painfull! maybe you could ask the doctor if her could give you somthing like a munbing shot or a sleep medicen so you won't feel anything untill you wake up.. ( I had to do that when I got my tonsils out, it hurt like a son of a mother! I had to eat ice cream and pops and pudding 9 trust me not as fun as it sounds!) It was awful! but hope this helps!Health Question & Answer

You have to let the doctor re-break your foot.. I know that sounds horrible, but you could have pain and arthritis in your foot for the rest of your life if you don't let the injury heal correctly..Health Question & Answer

Oh my goodness :( I feel for you, I really do!
I'm afraid you're gonna have to take the doctor's advice on this one though; it's the only way it's going to enable your foot to heal properly..
