Question: Is magnesium an anti-inflammatory.?
Might be a dumb question but i really need to know.. My dentist wants me to take magnesium supplements for my jaw because i have TMJ but i just had shockwave therapy for my feet (plantar fasciitis) and i can't take anything anti-inflammatory.. kind of backwards but i need to know if magnesium is an anti-inflammatory before i take it..Health Question & Answer

Id ask your doctor.. I think that your going to have some really big issues if you take an answer off of this yahoo answers and its wrong.. I would just ask your foot doctor.. Id just say the doctor wants me to start Magnesium but I want to make sure that its ok for my therepy.. They will be able to answer it.. The main use for magnesium is not an anti inflammatory however there are lots of medicines that people use for other reasons and it helps with other stuff.. well I hope your issues go away, that sounds like it sucks.. ask your local pharmacist about this, that way you can avoid another doctor's visit.. Pharmacists have to go through 8 yrs.. of school just as much as a Doctor and then they have to know all the drug interactions, and catch the boo-boo's doctors make on prescriptions..Health Question & Answer
