Pain medication: Nausea problem?!


Question: Pain medication: Nausea problem.?
I'm taking Hydrocodone for some contusions between my ribs in a falling accident and every time I take the pills I get really nauseated.. I want to stop taking the pills but I really do need them to take the edge off of the pain.. Is there any way to stop the nausea.?Health Question & Answer

Check the bottle or call the pharmacist to make sure it's ok, but usually if you eat something (a couple of crackers) it decreases stomach upset..Health Question & Answer

You can do the cracker eating, which can work well, or call the doc's office and tell them about your reaction.. There are other pain meds out there.. This might not be the best one for you.. The doc might also prescribe an anti-nausea medication to decrease your nausea..Health Question & Answer
