All you can do is floss with those little sticks that have the little line going across it.. And mouth wash is your best bet to loosen particals from your teeth.. Just make sure you use mouth wash before you brush to loosen up gunk and then after you brush..Health Question & Answer
Yes food gets under there and when it does it hurts like hell so be carefull..
They have this system for braces its kind of like tools they use in the dentist and it has all these tools to use that spray water to get the food out of hard to reach places in your mouth..
Its not that expensive either..

if the ortho ppl have done their job correctly, food shouldn't be able to get under the actual bracket..
it might get behind the wire- use a proxy/ "christmas tree" brush..
food might get stuck between the bracket and the o-ring ( the colored thing) ,.. i used a clean safety pin to get it out.. very carefully..Health Question & Answer

yeah.. there are flossers that are especially for braces.. i use crest glide floss for the bracket behind my teeth.. or, just try mouthwash first..Health Question & Answer
