Question: Popping knuckles!!.?
i pop my fingers, toes, ankles, elbows, neck, and back.. i get really stressed out and so i started popping my knuckles.. its a habit now and i really wanna stop.. but i feel less stressed when i pop my knuckles! please help me! im only 15 and my back and neck are pretty much hard as a rock from all the stress.. i tried stretching everyday so that my muscles would be looser and i wouldnt feel the urge to pop my knuckles all the time but it didnt work, i still do.. my mom nags me about it all the time.. thanks in advance :)Health Question & Answer

ever since i was a child i have been cracking my knuckles, and everything......its been about 13 years now and i have been trying to stop too.. what helps is having your whole family help you out by keeping you from cracking anything.. as soon as my sis sees me getting ready to crack my neck or back she stops me right away...... it really does help.. another thing is i try to massage my hands to relax them instead of cracking my fingers.. 1 great way to help relieve tension is to work out in the gym on a regular basis and to run also.. or you can take a bath to help relax.. i cracked my neck wrong one time and it got so stiff that i couldn't move my neck to my right side at all, but as soon as i went to the gym the knots were completly worked out.. so far i have broken the habit of craking my knees, ankles, toes, wrists, elbows and neck...... i still catch myself cracking my back sometimes and my fingers too, but im working on it.. just make sure that your family is watching and maybe get your friends to help you stop too..

I used to crack my wrists and after a while it was like the more I pop them later on the more after a while the more I did that they started to hurt so I decided to stop cracking them one day.. After a while they stopped hurting.. It maybe hard but if you really care about making your body better you will stop doing it.. It hurts and your bones sort of feel alittle stiffer until you crack them but you have to stop cracking them.. I used to crack my fingers too and my neck.. Just don't crack your bones its bad.. popping knuckles is something that has always bothered me.. I can't stand being in a conversation with someone and wham...... they are popping what ever needs to be popped.. Try doing this in private or when you get anxious or nervous try thinking about something else that helps you relax.. Popping your knuckles is very bad.. Your knuckles will become big and manly.. I pop my knuckles because of habit also.. It sucks.. I am recently trying to just squeze my fists together.. It really helps.. I hoped I helped! also try chewing gum.. I know its weird but it keeps your mind off of it..Health Question & Answer

Have you tried exercising because that helps me.. But the best thing to do is to try to relax and just stop doing it because it's a habit you learned and now you have to unlearn it.. Good luck!Health Question & Answer
