Question: I dropped a heavy object on my toe and the nail went black......my nail came off, but a gooey rotting.?
gellatinous substance was underneath the nail and it seems to have rotted/bored into the top of my toe........i'm worring that what has rotted is the new nail that should have started to regrow.. am i worrying unnecessarily.? how long should it normally take for the nail to regrow.?Health Question & Answer

that might have been because you didn;t allow air to get to it.. If theres a bad oder, its infected.. see a dr....it will re-grow a nail....Health Question & Answer
I once got my finger trapped in the door and the nail came off.. if i remember correctly, it took a few weeks for the nail to grow back.. however, as you have black rotten stuff there you should go to the doctor, as it could be infected.. dont worry, nothing a bit of anti-biotic cream wont sort out, but the sooner you go to the doctor the better..Health Question & Answer
