I am so so sorry you are going through this.. I am in a similar situation and I absolutely understand how you feel.. I am 23 and for the last 7 months I have had 2 bulging discs and 1 herniated one.. I can't work, can't sleep, can't do anything.. And most people don't understand how being in pain with no end in sight can affect your life.. But there is something you can do about it and you CAN have your life back!

You need to get treatment.. If physical therapy didn't work then steroid injections or surgery is the next step.. I know you don't have medical insurance, have you applied for Medicaid.? Since you're not working you should qualify for Medicaid and disability..

If for some reason you can't do that, I would contact a local hospital.. Many of them have compassionate medical programs where they will set you up with a surgeon and the hospital facility and they will forgive most if not all of the debt..

There are answers, and living in pain isn't one of them.. You can have your life back as long as you look at this as a battle you're going to win.. The only thing that can stop you is if you do something to end your life.. Otherwise, this is the beginning.. Today is the first day of your road to recovery and when this is all over you will be so much stronger for it..

You're not alone.. I've been there.. If you need someone to talk to please e-mail me..Health Question & Answer

Ending your life is not the answer.. You are not only hurting yourself, but those who love you will have to endure the most pain.. Are there any charity hospitals in your area that could help you with meds.? Or therapy.? It seems that if you are still having pain, then you should not have been released from the PT.. I also have back problems (herniated disk on one side and bulging disk on another) and I live with it every day.. I haven't taken meds for about 6 months now because I know what causes the pain to get worse and I avoid that..

You need to get your pain to a manageable level, get a job that won't require heavy lifting or standing for long periods of time, get some insurance and start seeing a doctor regularly about your pain and depression..Health Question & Answer
