Question: Help severe shin pain.?
i recently started running again.. and after i run one day my shin starts to hurt but only on a certain spot (lower shin) and if i rest for about 3 days the pain goes away and i can run again.. but if i try running the next day the shin pain comes back almost immediately.. what could be the reason for my pain.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
you are experiencing from maybe a fracture in a part of your bone in the shin area.. i suggest if it hurts when you run not to run at all till you get it checked out because the more you run the more force is applied to your shin which can cause the fracture (if there is one) to tear upper into your leg or lower into your feet..
if the pain is unbearable i suggest you to get some ice and put it on the shin for about 10 minutes each interval for about 1-2 weeks.. the swelling if there is any will slow down and the pain will be diverted to the cold ice you just appplied to your shin.. the cold will help you think away from that emence pain..
go to the doctor or hospital to get an x-ray before the shin gets worse..
stay out of excersing and strenous activites.. do not apply much pressure on the shin and just relax..

take care
