Remember when you were a child and you'd get up on Christmas morning with lots of ENERGY.? (Assuming you celebrate christmas that is :p) You actually wanted to be there, wanted to open presents, you enjoyed it.. I'm sure if you had only 3 hours sleep you'd still be excited and have tonnes of energy......

Well, when we get older and stuck in a job that doesn't excite or challenge us, we might not be so excited to wakeup anymore.. Your job might be boring, you might not like the people or environment, it might be too easy.. Maybe it's time to change jobs.?.?.?

I also suffer from this.. It has been caused by many things from disliking my job, depression caused by a multitude of different things and of course...... not getting enough sleep.. An average 22 year old is going to need approximately 8-9 hours of sleep EVERY night in order to feel rested.. Your 6 hours and 45 minutes might not be long enough for you and the deficit adds up every night.. Is it harder for you to get up mid-week.?(When you're not yet excited about the weekend and your sleep deficit is relatively high)

also, there are several stages of sleep we go through during the night.. You may be waking up during a deep part of your sleep every day.. If you had maybe 20 minutes more sleep you might awake in a lighter part of sleep and be less groggy.. I've seen alarm clocks that slowly ease you out of this by releasing a pleasing smell, playing really quite music of a brook or a rain storm, increasing the intensity of the light slowly and the volume slowly, to the point where you awake naturally...... Just like mother nature intended to wake us at sunrise...... Example.. .hammacher..com/publish/70460..asp" rel="nofollow">http://www..hammacher..com/publish/70460..a......

I would imagine that it's a bit of all these reasons.. So here is what I would do if I were you..

1.. Get AT LEAST 8 hours of sleep.. Go to bed at 9:30pm..
2.. Get excited about work (set some goals or get a new job)
3.. Look for things in your life that you've procrastinated over and GET THEM DONE
4.. Exercise a bit every day or 2nd day..
5.. If all else fails, see your doctor and/or a therapist to see if there is some underlying physical or mental problemHealth Question & Answer

Try to go to bed a little earlier than you usualy do that way you can still get the same amount of sleep as you did when you woke later and it might just take time to adjust to getting up early.. Like when you were younger and summer was ending and you had to get used to getting up early again and for a while you're walking dead on your feet in the morning but then you get used to getting up that early.. And maybe take showers in the morning so that the water will wake you up..Health Question & Answer

First things first, are you getting to bed early enough to give yourself 8 hours.? If not, try that..

If you are, then your quality of sleep is not adequate.. I have had the same problem in the past.. What I do is take calcium and melatonin about half hour before bed.. Calcium helps calm the nerves, and melatonin is a natural sleep aid.. It really improved my quality of rest.. Just make sure you get all natural stuff, nothing artificial (read the labels)..

Doses: 1000 mg of cal-mag-zinc (calcium, magnesium, and zinc) --- that is 1000 mg total, they all come in one vitamin

3 mg melatonin (all natural)

Good luck..

you're tired because you arent excited about work (i know, its unheard of).. just try to think of something that day that is exciting and sounds fun to you....if you dont have anything to think of, then try to work on getting yourself more fun activities lined up and just something to look foward too.. most mornings i hate getting up and want to sleep in so bad that it just hurts to open my eyes.. but other mornings i just convince myself that work is going to be great and fun and the most exciting thing ever! (that one doesnt work too much though)Health Question & Answer
