Question: Advil before belly button.?
I am getting my belly button pierced this week and I have a low tolerance for pain.. :)
So i was wondering if it is okay to take an advil or ibuprofen before I go to minimize the pain.?

if i were you i wouldnr take anything.. idk what advil has in it (i dont feel like going to check lol) but whatever you do, dont take anything with aspirin in it.. after i got mine pierced, later that night i took way too many excedrin migraines not realizing they were chock full of aspirin.. ohhh man it bled pretty much nonstop for 2 weeks straight, i ended up with a blood blister and nearly passing out bc of it- i was soo freaked out.. but its been a month since i got it pierced and its okay now.. no more bleeding.. it was just complete hell for 2 weeks, i couldnt even sit up straight without it bleeding.. my piercer said he's pierced thousands of navels and never seen anything like what happened to me..
so if i were you, id steer clear of that just to be sure.. never again will i take pain meds before or after a piercing lol.. good luck =]Health Question & Answer
