Question: Helpp me i hit my head badlyy.?
earlier i was running to chase my dog cause he was about to run outside and i ran into a door full powerr and i have a hugeeeeeeeeee swollennn sore bump on my head and its soooooo painful, i'm not sure if i broke a bone or not, its been about an hour since its happend but when i hit it everyhing went black for a while and i was delirious.. my mom put ice on it and i feel a little better but i'm going on vacation in about 3 weeks and i was wondering how long will it take until this bump will be gone.?.?.?

You probably got a concosuion.. This happned to me one time I fell backwards and hit my head really bad, and the doctor told my mom to keep checking in on me every 2nd hour.. Because if you got a concosion someone needs to watch after you for the first 24 hours.. But it will be ok, and the bump will be gone in 3 weeks, mine went away in a week =)Health Question & Answer
probably a minor concussion, nothing too serious, but DO NOT take aspirin, advil, bayer, iboprophen, excedrin or any other anti-inflammatory because these are blood thinners and if your brain is bleeding it could cause serious complications.. Take tylenol and ice your head instead.. If you are still worried then go to the doctor..

Well, if you blacked out that could be a minor concussion.. Thats something you want a doctor to check out....
But if it wasn't a concussion then you shouldn't worry about it, just watch out, maybe take some advil to ease the pain.. Keep having something cold on your head.. You can rub some aloe on it, that always helps me.. And try not to sleep for a couple of hours..

A mild concussion is probably the cause.. Its best to drink lots of water to keep hydrated and stay awake for the next 4 hours..
3 weeks is enough time for a bump to heal so you should be fine :)

if you put ice on it, it will reduce the swelling.. and if you have a headache, take an asprin.. your bump should go away in 2 or 3 weeks if it is a normal sized bump..Health Question & Answer
