Yes, by drinking water you hydrate your body, and it helps increase the fluid level of your blood.. By being dehydrated it decreases the amount of fluid in your blood, and can cause you to have poorer circulaton.. This is not a myth it works, I have worked in a lab for a long time.. Another thing you can try is to be warm, not hot just comfortably warm.. Being too cold will also restrict circulation..

UPDATE:
Guess I should have been a little clearer, drink plenty of water, dont gorge yourself full of water.. Drinking a proper amount of water before getting your blood drawn will not affect your lab results either.. I have been doing this for quite sometime, and it will work, and your labs will not be affected.. But drink plenty of water and stay warm before your blood test, and you will be fine, and so will your results..Health Question & Answer

some people dont realize that you can actually over dose on water.. too much in a single day can flush the sodium from your blood..Health Question & Answer

I would be very careful when drinking "A Lot" of water.. When I was in the military we all had to take a class during basic training on hydration.. Basically your body will not absorb more than a specific amount of water per hour anyways, and you'll just pee the rest out so it's not worth drinking more than say 500ml of water an hour..

Secondly, you can die from drinking too much water.. It throws the salt levels in your blood down and causes cellular osmosis which in turn can cause your blood cells to explode and organs to expand (like your brain) which also casues death..
