Severe thigh pain, can you help?!
Question: Severe thigh pain, can you help.?
Over the past 48 hours, I have developed a sharp pain in the back of my thigh, which comes and goes.. It's gradually getting worse and when I stand, it seems to be worse than when I sit down with the leg up on a stool.. Now the pain has become really bad and I have been taking paracetamol for the pain, which helps a bit.. I haven't been doing anything unusual to have caused an injury.. I'm not sure if it's something I should go to the hospital about.. Any ideas.?Health Question & Answer

sounds like a back injury, take it from me.. i hurt my back and never had a back pain, but my thigh and leg hurt severely, when i went to a neuropathist, they did some testing with needles and found that a nerve extending from my back was inflammed and a disk from my lumbar spine had been injured and was resting on that nerve which was inflammed.. i never had pain like that.. you'd be surprised what you could have done to cause an injury to your back.. could have been a slight move in the wrong direction..Health Question & Answer
I'd suggest going to a doctor.. I get pain in the back of my leg which shoots down to my knee.. Mine is sciatica, caused by my arthritic back getting inflamed and aggrevating the sciatic nerve, and I'm only 31..Health Question & Answer
