Well...... I'm no doctor but, if they're paralyzed, then that would mean their vitals may not be functioning properly (heart beat, breathing and so forth).... They may perform CPR etc, to get a pulse.. I'm not sure about rubbing though.. Maybe it is to promote blood flow to their vital organs..Health Question & Answer
They are actually rubbing a gland called the estothismus gland.. This causes a reflex which immediately sheds the body of un-procecessed moisture (eg the alchohol).. The recipient should then sober up faster because some of the alchohol has already left the body..Health Question & Answer
