Question: My daughter has swimmers ear.?
I took my daughter to the ER yesterday and they said she has swimmers ear.. They gave me Azithromycin and told me to see her doctor on Monday.. I am giving her Azithromycin and some Motrin, but she still to be in a lot of pain.. Is there anything else I can do for her.? I just hate to see her this way and this is the first time she has has swimmers ear.. Thanks in advance..Health Question & Answer

You can put Patorilum Jelly (I spelled that wrong) on a cotton ball and put it in her ear when she is swiming and taking a shower/bath.. It will stop dust and water from getting into her ear.. There is nothing you can do about the pain, I'm sorry.. Ibproffin may take some pain away, but read the bottle of both to be sure it is safe.. There's a product @ WalMart that you could buy, called SwimEar.. I also heard that putting drops of alcohol can help dry out the water in her ears..
