Question: Will drinking a beer impair the body's ability to heal a skin gash received that day.?
I received a cut on my head today, and am wondering whether drinking a beer tonight will hinder my body's ability to repair the wound (scarring and whatnot)......Health Question & Answer

beer only impairs your functioning senses like your sight, ability to look into things......generally depending on how much you drink, an excessive amount will kill you, that you know obviously..
it should not hinder your body's functions, expect for the ones it targets, ie) kidney..
your gash will heal at the level all your other wounds have healed, but there are things you can do to heal it faster, for example, vitamin e cream or any medication a doctor might have recommended
if medication was recommended check in with a doctor to see if you're allowed to drink
ps.. I might add you will feel horrible the next day though.. Your head might pound do to the gash and the beer (depending on how much you drink).. Try some wine.. Wine is actually very good for the body, a small glass a day should do it..Health Question & Answer

Beer does a lot of things but I don't think it will affect this.. Have the beer........probably make you feel better.. But if you hit your head and may have a concussion I would not drink a beer.. Otherwise I think you'll be fine..Health Question & Answer
