First of all, you were given the narcotics because the doctor felt you were going to need it.. you'll get some relief when you go ahead and take the vicodin.. Take it exactly as prescribed, to get the pain under control.. If you put it off too long, it takes more medication to get the pain stabilized..
Trust me, the doc hasn't given you enough pills to get addicted with.. They are to help you rest and get better- oh, did I mention that pain meds are also supposed to help you get better faster.? If you rest, your body has more energy to direct at healing..

SO-take the medications and stop torturing yourself..Health Question & Answer

This was the worst pain i've had in my life and you should use what the vicodin prescribed to you.. You'll soon feel better but it takes awhile, suck on some popcicles and things like that and just stay on liquids, jello, pudding and soft things.. Good luck to you, you'll be fine..Health Question & Answer

You might switch to Alleve, 2 tablets every 12hours instead of the ibuprofen..

If it doesn't help, just take the vicodin......you won't get addicted (especially if you have never taken this before and don't smoke, drink alcohol or do drugs)Health Question & Answer

What antibiotic were you given.? Strange that Dr's give narcotics for these sort of things nowadays..Health Question & Answer
