Question: I have an ear infection caused by my earrings!!! help plz.......?
i have this infection caused by my earrings.. in the back of my ear, next to the hole......it looks like a big bubble! i don't know what to do!!!! and sometimes puss comes out and makes it all crusty.... (don't be freaked out) help!!!!! thanx! =]Health Question & Answer

Do NOT squeeze anything out, dirty nails equals BIGGER infection.. I had the same thing millions of times, your ears will not accept anything that is fake.. Take out the fake earrings and clean your ear with either an antibiotic.... or alcohol will do.. Then put in a REAL earring or sterling silver and clean it daily.. If you take your earring out while infected and do not proceed on putting it back in [or putting another one in] your hole WILL close.. If it is a stud...... loosen but keep it in..Health Question & Answer
I've always just used peroxide for it but I guess what Claire's sells might work better.. Definitely use sterling silver or hypo-allergenic earrings from now on.. If you do use a pair of cute cheap earrings, wear them only for that day and be sure to take them out as soon as you get home.. Then clean your ears afterwards.. That's been working for me.. take out the earrings and there is this solution you can get at Claire's or most ear piercing places and it helps stop the ear infection.. It'll get better :)Health Question & Answer
you should go to Claire's or some other place who does Ear piercings and get Antiseptic.. It might help to get some that is meant for earrings but any kind will work..Health Question & Answer
