Am I allowed to go swimming?!
Question: Am I allowed to go swimming.?
I had surgery to remove some of my intestines.. I have three small cuts that are covered by steri-strips.. It has been a week and a half since the surgery and the incisions are healing rather quickly.. Am I allowed to swim with the strips in place.? Do I need to wait until the doctor takes off the strips.?Health Question & Answer

cause theres alot..
of nasty deisease out right now trveling through water..
and if you have open cut it can get in more easily..
so wait and ask your doctor before you go swimming in pools lakes ocean any type of water :)

In my opinion, I would say wait until you see the doctor again when he checks the cuts and then you can ask him if you can go swimming.. Better to be safe than sorry and to avoid risking infections from going into the water :)Health Question & Answer
You should wait.. The incisions could get badly infected if water touches them.. I don't know if the strips will keep things out of it, but it is better just to stay safe instead of push your limits..Health Question & Answer
