I have Osteoporosis and am constantly breaking bones and my favourite bit of kit is called a Thera-Band.. It's basically a long strip of rubber (no, it's not kinky!) that you use in various ways.. They come in different amounts of resistance so that as your bones knit you can increase the resistance and thereby increase your strength, you can use them on all limbs and appendages (Ahem......) I've always got mine from the Hospital but I'm sure that you must be able to buy them..

I've just looked it up......www..thera-band..com

you need to rebuild the muscles of your hand and wrist.. The best thing for you would be physical therapy but if you are unable to attend physical therapy there are simple things you can do at home.. Try squeezing a soft ball in that hand.. also simply rotating your wrist in circles can help strengthen the muscles.. If that gets boring, you can spell the alphabet in movements with your hand and wrist.. Once the muscles start to get a little stronger you can use a one pound weight while rotating the wrist.. it is important to start slow so you dont injure the weak muscles..Health Question & Answer

depends on which limb or body part you had your cast on................thanks for more details best thing for wrist would be a hand grip which you can buy from any good sports department or you could use a tennis ball and squeeze it but dont over do it.. probably better with a tennis ball to start withHealth Question & Answer

The best thing you can do is ask your doctor to refer you to physio.. They will teach you to build your muscles back up properly.. Good luck!Health Question & Answer

When I broke my ankle I drew the abc's in the air with it to help build the muscles.. I'm sure that would work for a wrist too.. If all else fails - ask your doc! ;)Health Question & Answer
