Question: -Broken foot.?-.?
Ok, 3 days ago i broke my foot in 4 places, incuding the metatorsal (sp.....?).. ATM I have a cast and crutches, which are extremely difficult to use! But because I am going on holiday in 17 days, the doctor told me to go back in 2 weeks and if my foot has healed enough, to have a removable "boot" instead, which will be more benificial ..
My doctor also told me to start applying weight to the foot already , but it's incredibly painful.. I was just wondering if its actually likely for my foot to heal so quickly.? I was also wondering if I will still have to use crutches if I have the "boot" and if their is any chance of me being able to go swimming in about 2-3 weeks time.?

It really depends on how fast your body heals.. You should have much less pain in two weeks time.. When you wear the boot most people don't have to use the crutches.. Swimming will depend on what your doctor says--if you feel like it then go ahead because the water and swimming is very healing to the body..Health Question & Answer
well i would say it would heal pretty soon the doctor does not mean totally heal for the boot but just enough so you can at least do something with it.. well the reason you should put pressure on it is because if you don't it could be more painful and will take longer to heal.. I don't think you will be able to go swimming in about 2 to 3 weeks time maybe but doubt it it all depends on the doctor..
