My boyfriend and his brother were wrestling in the pool and his brother slammed him in the water and his ear smacked firstt.. he hasn't been able to hearr very clearly and we tried swimmers ear, jumping up on one leg, hair dryer, etc.. and nothing has worked..we are trying an ear wax removal kit now but we aren't sure if its working.. i know we should call the doctor but its a sunday so does anyone have any suggestions on what could be wrong or how to solve it.. its driving him (and i) nutsss..Health Question & Answer

It could be a preforated ear drum.. The water could have damaged his ear drum because water is a common way to preforate an ear drum.. He should get looked at..
Has it bled.? Is there any pus coming out.? If so, then it is.?
If not and it just feels blocked, try olive oil (only a little bit) with cotton wall and leave it in there for an hour or so.. If his ear is just blocked, the olive oil will clear it :)
