I did not sleep a wink last night! My mind was buzzing with thoughts and worries.. I had to be at work this morning at 7:00am and I work until 3:00pm and I am exhausted.. I could not stop thinking about things.. How can I prevent this from happening again.?Health Question & Answer

That's a really good question.. I find myself in the same situation sometimes.. This may sound cheesy, but, sometimes, if I say a few prayers, it seems to calm me down enough to fall asleep.. What also helps is if you keep a pen and paper by your bed.. If you try to write down things you have to do, or things that are worrying you, it may get some of those things off your mind long enough for you to fall asleep.. What I've noticed, also, is that most of the time, things seem worse at night.. When you wake up, things aren't as bad as they seemed the night before..
Good luck..Health Question & Answer

When i want to quieten my mind for sleep i concentrate on my breathing.. I try to put 100% of my awareness into the feeling of breathing.. In itself it is rythmic and relaxing..

This doesnt work all the time, especially if i'm particularly worried about something but when i catch myself thinking about something other than my breathing i visualise a 'stop' sign which reminds me to stop my mind and bring it back to my breathing..

It works for meHealth Question & Answer

This happens to me a lot.. i have insomnia and i hate taking medications for it because they force sleep and i don't like that because i get nightmares i cant wake up from..

The best way to go is relaxing tea(nerve calming tea) or sleeping tea it works within an hour but it really relaxes my thoughts..

You put in your part by thinking about something that wouldn't cause worries, focus on that to forget you worries..

Anxiety is hard to surpass and i also say its better said than done, but worth a shot..Health Question & Answer

I have insomnia and at the moment i havent slep for two days but what helps me sleep is either just think of like old happy memories, or you could get advil PM, and youll be out like a light and wont have that groggy feeling in the morning..

Abother thing you could do is wear yourself out i..e.. workout or run around the block and youll be tired that you wont even be having worring thoughts..Health Question & Answer

i tried that before.. the only thing you can do is to stop thinking about it.. i know that it's hard to forget especially that you keep on thinking about it.. the only one who can help you is yourself because you are the one controlling your mind and not others..Health Question & Answer
