Arthroscopic Lateral Release Details?!


Question: Arthroscopic Lateral Release Details.?
I have already had one arthroscopic surgery to clean out my knee.. I was on crutches for three days, only had serious pain the day of, and started rehab the next day.. Now i am have arthroscopic lateral release to realign my kneecap.. Will the surgeon use the scars that I already have.? What is the difference in pain and crutch time.?How soon will I start rehab.? The surgery is on August 26th and school starts on the September 2nd.. Will I be walking.?

Answers:
Generally the surgeons tend to use portals from other procedures if possible.. If you are a female this is definitely more likely as it reduced the scarring.. As for the procedure itself that will depend on if there are any conplications.. Generally if there are no complications you should be ready for rehab in a day or two.. The pain levels are not going to be that much from the first as long as there is no bony work being done..
