Depends o if she braces you or not.. If you are braced, the refs won't let you play.. But some braces are only worn at night.. And at 12-degrees she may just observe you until you are done growing..
Be sure you consult a spine doctor (either orthopedic or neurosurgeon).. I don't trust chiropractors.. I've been adjusted twice and both times hurt worse afterwards.. also, as a nurse I've cared for patients ho had nerve damage from a chiropractor..Health Question & Answer

White Kid,
What sex are you.. If you are a girl, you are probably done growing.. You may be able to deal with a 12 degree curve.. I would ask your doctor.. Most orthopedic surgeon do not enter into spine surgery lightly.. It is a big surgery with big risks.. I would talk to pediatric orthopedic surgeon and make a decision based on their imput.. Good luck, if you have any questions let me know..

I went to high school with a girl who was diagnosed with the same thing.. She was in a brace for her freshman and sophomore years but, was later the captain of the varsity cheerleading squad..Health Question & Answer
